This stay was guided by a singular focus: to fully immerse ourselves in the resort’s culinary universe.

DAY 1: Arrival and a Royal Welcome at Ayodya Palace
We checked in at Ayodya Palace and were personally escorted to our Classic Deluxe Room. The room instantly set the tone with its Balinese royal ambiance. With generous 48 sqm interiors, lush garden views, a private balcony, timber finishes, traditional Balinese artwork, and a contemporary marble bathroom, the room felt spacious, calming, and refined.

Ayodya Palace privileges made the stay exceptionally convenient, including an all inclusive minibar and daily laundry service of four pieces. The exclusive Palace check in lobby and lounge also added a sense of privacy and ease throughout the stay. Ayodya Palace itself is a refined sanctuary within the resort. With its own lounge, close proximity to the beach, and easy access to multiple restaurants, it truly represents Ayodya Resort Bali’s elevated accommodation experience.
Afternoon Tea at Ayodya Palace Lounge
Our culinary journey began with Afternoon Tea at the Ayodya Palace Lounge. The venue is grand yet intimate, featuring palace inspired interiors and striking Kamasan painting murals that reflect Balinese heritage. Guests can choose between tea or coffee while enjoying a generous buffet selection of breads, sandwiches, cookies, cakes, nuts, seeds, and sweet bites. It was a relaxed and elegant way to ease into our first afternoon at this timeless resort.

Lobster Dinner by the Sea at Ayodya Beach Club and Grill
As sunset approached, we headed to Ayodya Beach Club and Grill, also known as ABC and G. Located along a 300 meter stretch of Mengiat Beach and overlooking the infinity pool, this beachside venue offers a lively yet romantic dining atmosphere.

The highlight was the Lobster Lovet experience, featuring lobster sourced from the crystal waters of the Java Sea. The dinner began with fresh salads, followed by comforting soups including Cream of Pumpkin Soup and Seafood Chowder. For the main course, we enjoyed the Grilled Java Sea Lobster with Garlic Herb Butter, a best seller known for its sweet, tender meat and rich aroma. We also tried the Aragosta à la Thermidor, a refined tribute to classic French coastal cuisine with creamy, indulgent flavors. Dining directly on the beach with soft lighting, ocean breeze, whole coconuts, and sparkling water made this dinner a perfect opening to our culinary focused stay. The venue also offers an enticing Happy Hour program worth exploring.
Craft Cocktails at SOORA Speakeasy-Style Bar
The night continued at SOORA, Ayodya’s hidden speakeasy style cocktail bar. Inspired by the Sanskrit word for divine elixir, SOORA is a plant forward sanctuary that blends nature, creativity, and modern mixology. Tucked away within the resort, the bar features three modular bars, a tincture lab, and a lush herb garden where many ingredients are grown in house.

Guests can personalize their drinks by selecting spirits, herbs, and tinctures, making each cocktail a unique expression. The ambiance is earthy and botanical, with red tiles, greenery, and indoor and outdoor seating reminiscent of an ancient garden. We tried the Bongkot, a gin based cocktail infused with sous vide kecombrang and strawberry, delivering a beautifully aromatic and tangy profile. Another standout was Ronde, combining pandan bourbon, pandan syrup, whipped cream, palm sugar, and coconut rum for a nostalgic yet modern flavor. The teppanyaki style bar service with rolling tables added an engaging theatrical touch.
Day 2: From Breakfast to Teppanyaki Nights
Breakfast was served at the Ayodya Palace Lounge, offering a more private atmosphere paired with an extensive buffet. The selection included fresh fruits, salads, pastries, cakes, beef dishes, Balinese urutan sausage, yogurt, nasi goreng, eggs, and more. A fresh orange juice machine allowed guests to enjoy juice pressed directly from whole oranges, making breakfast feel both indulgent and fresh.
Lunch at Surfer’s Corner Poolside Cafe & Bar
Our lunch took place at Surfer’s Corner, an open air restaurant by the main pool surrounded by palm trees. The tropical holiday vibe was complemented by a casual yet well curated menu.

We tried the recommended Chicken Shawarma, featuring tender marinated chicken wrapped in soft tortilla bread with fresh vegetables and yogurt sauce. The chicken was juicy, well seasoned, and generously portioned, served with crisp fries, vegetable pickles, and chili mayo that added a pleasant kick. The Lover Pizza was equally satisfying, topped with artichoke, chicken sausage, beef pepperoni, pork ham, onions, capsicum, mushrooms, tomato, and melted cheese. Each bite delivered balanced flavors and a hearty, shareable portion. For drinks, we enjoyed zero proof sips like Ginger Mint with fresh ginger and mint, as well as the Creamy Bliss Watermelon Lassie made with fresh watermelon, yogurt, and honey. Surfer’s Corner also offers an all day Buy One Get One Happy Hour cocktail selection, making it a popular and lively spot.
Tasting and Chill at Java Hut Specialty Coffee & Lounge
In the afternoon, we visited Java Hut, a cozy open air cafe overlooking the lagoon and Indian Ocean. Here, we experienced Nusantara Coffee, served in eight small cups representing different regions of Indonesia, including Banyuatiz, Bali K, Bali Tirta, Aceh, Flores, Sulawesi Toraja, and Papua. Each coffee offered distinct characteristics ranging from fruity and aromatic to bold and bitter. Our personal favorite was Papua, with its fragrant aroma, pleasant bitterness, and bold fruity notes, paired perfectly with homemade chocolate cookies.

Dinner at Genji Teppanyaki & Japanese Restaurant
The evening began with cocktails and canapés at the Ayodya Palace Lounge. Cheese platters, cakes, dried fruits, nuts, and refined canapés were served alongside free flow wine and spirits, creating a lively social atmosphere filled with enthusiastic guests.

Dinner followed at Genji Teppanyaki & Japanese Restaurant. We opted for the Teppanyaki experience, where skilled chefs transformed dinner into an engaging performance. From light sashimi starters to succulent Australian wagyu beef, fillet mignon with shrimp, and juicy salmon, every course was prepared with precision and flair. Desserts included a selection of ice creams such as chocolate and ogura, along with fresh fruit platters.
Balinese Theater: A Night of Culture and Cuisine
Another highlight within the resort is the Balinese Theater, where dining is paired with captivating cultural performances in an atmospheric setting. Created to celebrate tradition through storytelling and flavor, the theater presents a cultural dining experience with live shows on selected days.

Guests can witness the rhythmic Traditional Kecak Dance every Monday, the dramatic Fire Dance on Wednesdays, and a lively Friday evening featuring a Tandoori Buffet accompanied by vibrant Bollywood dance performances. An international and themed buffet menu complements the evening, allowing guests to enjoy diverse flavors while surrounded by an authentic cultural atmosphere. Suitable for couples, families, and groups alike, the Balinese Theater adds a memorable cultural dimension to the Ayodya Resort Bali experience.
Day 3: Open Air Breakfast and Plant Based Fare
Our final morning started with breakfast at Waterfall Indonesian & Balinese Restaurant, featuring a spacious open air setting overlooking the lagoon and tropical gardens. The international buffet was vibrant and varied. Guests should also note Waterfall’s signature Sop Buntut, a comforting Indonesian oxtail soup available for lunch or dinner.

Before checking out, we stopped by Vegan Deli Nusa Dua Restaurant to try their famous Mexican Wrap. Filled with tortilla, rice, Mexican beans, cheese, lettuce, avocado, corn salsa, chipotle aioli, and jalapenos, it was hearty, flavorful, and satisfying while still feeling light and nourishing. Vegan Deli showcases Ayodya Resort Bali’s commitment to mindful, plant based dining without compromising on taste.
Checking out with complete satisfaction, our Ayodya Palace stay truly proved that Ayodya Resort Bali is a five star haven for culinary enthusiasts. With its diverse dining concepts, thoughtful menus, and exclusive Palace privileges, this stay offers a unique way to experience Bali through food, flavor, and refined hospitality.
