Our three day and two night stay easily proved that this is one of the most convenient city hotel experiences in the area.
DAY 1: Arriving at Our King Suite Deluxe
Stepping into the King Deluxe Suite instantly set the tone for our stay. The 44 square meter layout comes with a separate living room, a spacious bedroom, and not just one but two balconies that open to calming views. The design leans slightly modern design, bright and airy spaces with clean lines, soft neutral tones and warm wood accents that create a very inviting mood. The furniture feels thoughtfully placed and the patterned rug along with upholstered chairs add enough texture to keep the look elegant and homey.

The suite offers two LED TVs, a pull-out sofa bed, a minibar, coffee and tea facilities and an in-room safe. The bathroom stands out with its LED mirror, granite countertop and a meticulous thermostatic shower system that lets you switch easily between rain shower and handheld modes. Peter Thomas Roth amenities complete the experience with an elevated finishing touch.
Exploring the Facilities
Our site inspection revealed that Hilton Garden Inn is packed with facilities that support both corporate and holiday stays. The hotel features a central outdoor swimming pool, a well designed restaurant, a private meeting venue complete with its own bar, a 24/7 fitness center, a kids club, and self service coin operated laundry. With 159 rooms spread across five floors, the property is large enough to feel lively while still maintaining a sense of comfort and privacy for guests.

The poolside bar offers a relaxed setting with deep blue couches and natural wood accents, creating an inviting space for tropical refreshments and casual gatherings. Guests can also enjoy the & ToGo shop, a 24 hour grab and go retail space stocked with snacks, beverages, a specialty self serve coffee bar, and locally inspired souvenirs, making it especially convenient for both short visits and extended stays.
Dinner at Together & Co
The hotel’s signature restaurant, Together & Co, welcomes guests with a spacious indoor and outdoor dining area. The warm wooden elements, wide glass panels and soft dim lighting create an instantly appealing ambiance. It is a place where you can settle down after a long day and enjoy an easy, pleasant meal.

We tried the Indonesian menu for dinner. The Gado Gado arrived first with fresh vegetables, tempe, tofu and melinjo crackers. The peanut sauce had an ideal balance of savory and sweet. The Mie Goreng Jawa became an instant favorite with its rich Javanese flavors, juicy chicken satay, king prawn and sliced omelette. The Pizza Beef Rendang combined Italian comfort with bold Indonesian spices and it worked beautifully. For dessert, the Assorted Jaje Bali came in a charming presentation with dadar gulung, ketan hitam, batun bedil and bubur sumsum along with coconut gelato. Every dish was executed with care and plated beautifully, very consistent with the brand’s global standards.
Our mocktails were just as impressive. The Rindik Frost blended cucumber, lemongrass, bay leaf syrup, lemon juice and coconut water into a light refreshing drink. The Jatiluwih Delight highlighted the aroma of brown rice tea with lemon and lemongrass for a unique earthy taste. Both drinks were refreshing and memorable.
DAY 2: Breakfast, Lunch and an Immersive Activities
Breakfast at Together & Co features a complete comfort buffet. The spread includes pastries, cold cuts, yoghurt, fruit, sausages, bacon, baked beans, homemade potato chips, congee, jaje such as bubur injin and bubur sumsum, an egg station and more. The variety keeps things interesting and the flavors are reliable from plate to plate.

Lunch showcased some of the restaurant’s Western favorites. The Roasted Squash Salad mixed pumpkin, feta, beetroot and cherry tomatoes into a colorful refreshing starter. The Burger & Co. lived up to its signature status with a soft brioche bun, hearty beef patty, caramelized onion, mushroom and cheddar. The Mango Chili Pan Seared Salmon combined smooth mashed potato, crispy vegetables and the tangy heat of mango chili sauce. The fruit tart came with a crisp buttery shell and glossy fresh fruit for a sweet finish.

The cooking class that followed became one of the highlights of our stay. Guided by an aspiring young chef, we put on our aprons and prepared Ayam Betutu from scratch. We sliced spices, sautéed the aromatic base genep and wrapped the seasoned chicken in banana leaves before taking it to the hotel’s kitchen for the slow cooking phase. The best part was tasting our own Betutu during dinner.
The Canang Sari making session at the outdoor area of Together & Co was a calming cultural highlight, with the staff guiding us through each element and its meaning in a friendly, easy-to-follow way. We began by shaping the ceper tray from coconut leaves, followed by adding the porosan, a combination of betel leaf, lime paste, and areca nut that symbolizes harmony and balance in Balinese Hindu belief. Flowers were then arranged according to directional symbolism: white for purity in the east, red for energy in the south, yellow for prosperity in the west, and blue or green for protection in the north.

A small tulas pandan shred was placed at the center to represent balance, followed by incense, believed to carry prayers upward. Simple, peaceful, and beautifully explained, the experience offered a warm and meaningful glimpse into the daily spiritual life of Bali.
Dinner with Our Own Betutu
Dinner that night started with Rujak Buah, a mix of fresh fruits with a sweet tangy nutty sauce. Refreshing and addictive. The Betutu we cooked turned out tender and flavorful with fall apart chicken, fragrant broth and fresh urap vegetables. Dessert came in the form of indulgent Cendol made with premium coconut milk and palm sugar, followed by a trio of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla gelato over almond crumble. The Melasti Serenade mocktail combined coconut milk, pandan syrup and grapefruit for a tropical citrusy drink that felt very Bali.

Day 3. Breakfast and Heartfelt Farewell
Breakfast on our final morning at Together & Co felt just as comforting as the day before, complete with our favorite selections from the buffet. The spread had everything we needed for a satisfying start, from pastries and fresh fruit to eggs made to order and those delicious Indonesian jaje that kept calling us back. It was a relaxed, easy morning that wrapped up the stay on a warm note.

Check out was smooth and effortless, giving us a moment to reflect on how much the hotel exceeded expectations. With its focused service approach and thoughtfully curated comforts, the experience delivered the polish and ease often associated with higher tier stays. Hilton Garden Inn stands out as a solid choice for travelers seeking elevated comfort in a modern city hotel setting, ideal for both business and leisure trips.
