JHL Collection has officially announced the soft opening of its newest property, Noema Resort & Beach Club, on Gili Trawangan on 31 October 2026. Set along the island's tranquil eastern coast, the resort offers an accommodation concept that blends premium comfort with the relaxed rhythm of island life, in harmony with nature.
The opening phase was marked by a celebration titled "The First Light" on 31 October 2026. More than a property launch, the event was Noema's tribute to the traditions of the Lombok community. The highlight of the ceremony featured authentic cultural processions, including the Gendang Beleq procession, the Peresean martial art performance, and the Putri Mandalika dance. The historic moment was also sealed symbolically through the Alu and Antan pounding ritual, the Babar Layar procession, and the Meruah thanksgiving tradition together with the local community.
"Noema Gili Trawangan offers a new way to enjoy the beauty of this island. We designed the resort to be in harmony with its natural surroundings, so that guests can truly set aside their daily routines and engage directly with the richness of local culture," said Reinaldo Putra, General Manager.
As a retreat that celebrates nature, Noema Gili Trawangan offers 50 fully equipped glamping (luxury tent) units. Accommodation options include Tropical Glamping, Island Glamping with an open-air whirlpool, and Imagi Glamping with two spacious bedrooms. Wood is the dominant material throughout the design, creating a warm atmosphere free of the formality of conventional resorts.
During the soft opening period, guests can already enjoy operational facilities focused on exploration and relaxation. For outdoor activities, guests can explore the waters of Gili Trawangan through snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and kayaking, or tour the island.
For dining, Mamaloma restaurant is open and serves a variety of fresh dishes. In addition, Varuna Spa is now operating for guests seeking holistic tranquility, featuring its signature treatment, the Island SeaShell Massage.
To welcome its first guests, Noema Gili Trawangan is offering a special 25% discount on room bookings. Reinforcing its identity as a resort closely connected to nature, every guest who completes their stay will take part in a special check-out ritual: receiving a Sang Datu bracelet as a keepsake and returning a seashell to the sea.
