SIKI celebrates its second anniversary with a beachfront Summer Garden Party and Tuna Cutting Show that honours the restaurant's journey over the past two years while looking ahead to the future.


Guests are invited to a beachfront Summer Garden Party & Tuna Cutting Show, featuring sunset cocktails, live cultural performances, a specially curated seven-course tasting menu, and the premiere of SIKI's Signature Tuna Cutting Show Series—a new seasonal dining experience that will become one of the restaurant's signature events.

 


The anniversary also marks the beginning of a new chapter for SIKI. What started as a modern Japanese restaurant with a Balinese touch is evolving into a broader hospitality destination, introducing new ways for guests to experience the brand while remaining true to its Japanese × Balinese identity.

 

More Than an Anniversary
The celebration begins at sunset with a Summer Garden Party overlooking the beachfront at The Bay, Nusa Dua.


Guests will be immersed in an evening where Japanese and Balinese cultures come together, with Taiko drummers, Balinese dance performances, a Tanabata wishing experience inspired by Japan's Star Festival, live DJ set, cocktails, and canapés by the sea.

 


As the evening unfolds, the celebration moves into its main event—the premiere of SIKI's Signature Tuna Cutting Show.


Led by Executive Chef Vincent Hiew, the ceremonial breakdown of a whole tuna showcases the precision, craftsmanship, and artistry behind one of Japan's most celebrated culinary traditions. The experience is followed by an exclusive seven-course Summer Tasting Menu, featuring different cuts and preparations of tuna inspired by the bright, fresh flavours of the season.


The evening concludes with anniversary celebrations and a fireworks finale.
 


Introducing SIKI's Signature Tuna Cutting Show Series
Making its debut during SIKI's 2nd Anniversary celebration, SIKI's Signature Tuna Cutting Show Series is thoughtfully designed to be one of the restaurant's defining culinary experiences.


The series is inspired by Shiki (四季)—the Japanese word for "Four Seasons" and the inspiration behind SIKI's name. It is SIKI's way of bringing that philosophy to life, celebrating the beauty of seasonality while honouring the ingredients, flavours, and craftsmanship found in both Japanese and Balinese cuisine.

 



Held four times a year, each Signature Tuna Cutting Show edition begins with the dramatic ceremonial breakdown of a whole 50-60kg tuna by Chef Vincent. Guests are invited to gather around the cutting table, witness the precision of Japanese fish butchery, and sample tuna freshly scraped from the bone—a rare opportunity to experience one of the freshest and most prized parts of the fish—before settling in for a specially curated seasonal tasting menu inspired by the flavours of that season.


Launching with its inaugural Summer Edition, the series embraces refreshing flavours inspired by the season, featuring ingredients such as lime, young mango, and watermelon. As the seasons change, so too will the menu, allowing Chef Vincent to showcase new interpretations of Japanese cuisine through different cuts of tuna and the finest seasonal produce from Japan and Bali.

 



Designed to blend culinary performance with exceptional dining, SIKI's Signature Tuna Cutting Show Series embodies the restaurant's commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and seasonality—establishing a signature experience that guests can look forward to returning to, season after season.


A New Chapter for SIKI
The anniversary also celebrates SIKI's continued evolution beyond the restaurant itself.


Guests attending the evening will be among the first to experience the brand's growing collection of concepts, including KALIH by SIKI, the restaurant's bespoke cocktail lab, and an exclusive preview of AMIKAN by SIKI, the upcoming beachfront Japanese café set to open this summer. 


Together with SIKI, these concepts represent the next chapter of the brand - offering guests different ways to experience Japanese-inspired hospitality throughout the day while staying rooted in the meeting of Japanese tradition and Balinese culture.
