Bandung, 5 September 2026 – TP Jazz Management, in collaboration with Kota Baru Parahyangan, successfully presented TP Jazz Universe: Greatest Movie Soundtrack on Friday, 4 September 2026, at the Mason Grand Ballroom, Mason Pine Hotel, Kota Baru Parahyangan. As part of the Road to The Papandayan Jazz Fest 2026, the concert delivered a unique musical experience that reimagined iconic movie soundtracks through the language of jazz, receiving an enthusiastic response from hundreds of attendees.
The evening began with a performance by To The Band, winner of The Papandayan International Online Jazz Competition (TPJC) 2022, who set the tone with an energetic opening before the spotlight shifted to Indonesian jazz maestro Dwiki Dharmawan. The atmosphere grew even more spectacular with a captivating multimedia presentation and special lighting show. Dynamic lighting effects combined with cinematic visuals transformed
the ballroom into a world inspired by the magic of film, creating a grand opening before the main performances began.
The concert opened with a powerful performance by Dirly Dave, who delivered Go The Distance from Hercules and Can You Feel The Love Tonight. His energetic vocal delivery immediately brought the audience into a nostalgic journey through beloved movie soundtracks. The excitement continued when Dirly was joined by Dira Sugandi for a memorable duet of (I've Had) The Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing, one of the evening’s
most warmly received performances. Dira Sugandi then took center stage with a deeply emotional performance. Through I Will Always Love You from The Bodyguard, she delivered a powerful interpretation that resonated strongly with the audience. Her vocal strength, artistic maturity, and chemistry with Dwiki Dharmawan’s musical direction made the performance one of the night’s defining moments.
The mood shifted as Sandhy Sondoro performed Eye of The Tiger and Glory of Love. With his distinctive warm and soulful voice, Sandhy brought fresh dimensions to these legendary soundtrack classics. Each song was delivered with his signature style while preserving the essence of the originals, resulting in interpretations that felt both authentic and refreshing.
One of the evening’s highlights came through the collaboration between Sandhy Sondoro and Rimar Calista on A Whole New World from Aladdin. Their beautiful harmony earned enthusiastic applause from the audience. Rimar continued with When You Wish Upon A Star before taking the audience into a segment dedicated to Indonesian cinema.
In a special tribute, Rimar presented a medley of memorable Indonesian movie soundtracks, including Hanya Untukmu, Semusim, Galih dan Ratna, Ayat-Ayat Cinta, and Perahu Kertas. The segment became one of the most emotional moments of the concert, reminding audiences of films that have shaped Indonesian popular culture. She then continued with Cinta Sejati from Habibie & Ainun, further strengthening the nostalgic atmosphere of the evening.
The energy rose once again when Dirly Dave returned to perform I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing from Armageddon and Writing’s On The Wall from Spectre. His passionate and expressive delivery brought renewed excitement to the ballroom, turning the performance into one of the most energetic segments of the concert.
The evening moved toward its finale with standout performances including Everything I Do (I Do It For You) by Sandhy Sondoro, Into The Unknown by Rimar Calista, and Dira Sugandi’s renditions of How Far I’ll Go from Moanaand My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. The concert concluded with all singers returning to the stage to perform This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, a powerful closing number that symbolized the spirit of collaboration behind the entire production and earned a standing ovation from the audience.
More than just a concert, TP Jazz Universe: Greatest Movie Soundtrack represented the collaboration between TP Jazz Management and Kota Baru Parahyangan, built upon the shared spirit of Community-Based Development. Through music, both institutions created a space where communities could come together to enjoy meaningful cultural experiences while strengthening social connections.

The successful collaboration between TP Jazz Management and Kota Baru Parahyangan will continue at the main event of The Papandayan Jazz Fest 2026, taking place on 3–4 October 2026. As part of this partnership, one of the festival's main venues at Suagi Grand Ballroom will be presented as the “Kota Baru Parahyangan Stage,” reflecting a shared commitment to supporting the growth of arts, culture, and creative communities.
The stage will feature a series of special performances, including The Gentlemen's Club featuring Adikara, Teza Sumendra, and Bilal Indrajaya in “Tribute to Koes Plus,” Diskoria feat. Andien, Ruth Sahanaya, Mahalini, Freedom Jazz Society featuring Winky Wiryawan, Kenny Gabriel, Jevin Julian, Greybox, and Rinni, as well as Dwiki Dharmawan feat. Dira Sugandi, Dirly Dave & Bandung Jazz Orchestra in a special presentation titled “A Night of
Frank Sinatra.”
