If you are looking for a place to enjoy cocktails or simply vent about your day and leave your problems behind, trust us, this bespoke cocktail bar in Nusa Dua is the ultimate spot. They don’t have a menu at all, and there’s not even a sign outside, well at least not yet. All you need to do is come in and tell the bartender your favorite cocktail. Or, what's best is, you can simply talk to the bartender about anything, from your crush making you blush, or your annoying boss at work (oopsie), and they’ll create a cocktail that matches your mood at that moment. Oh, they also mix homemade arak into their cocktails. Truly the best.

Loco Local Love

Craving bakmie? Loco Local Love has exactly what you need, and they bring a fun twist with noodles and arak-based cocktails in one place. The Bakmie Gepeng (or Bakmi Lebar) is a favorite, topped with pork belly and babi merah and served with dumplings soup. They also have Bakmie Ayam if you prefer chicken instead of pork. Their homemade arak is so worth trying and easy to sip after a meal. Go for the apple variant if you like something fresh, slightly sour, and sweet, or the mojito for a more classic, smooth ending. Open daily from 10 AM to 12 AM, it’s a casual spot for both comfort food and arak Bali.

Munch Bakery Bali

This cozy café is a hidden gem in Petitenget. Located inside a residential area, the place is so homey and comfortable. Their buttery homemade croissants are a must-try, especially the Lemon Meringue Croissant with its sweet and slightly tangy finish. The plain butter croissant is also a favorite, soft inside with a perfectly flaky outer layer. Besides pastries, they serve breakfast toasts, crepes, coffee, and a tempting selection of cakes, including custom whole cakes for birthdays.

TREELØSOFI Specialty Coffee

Want to escape for a while from the busy atmosphere of South Bali? This place is perfect for you. Located in Tampaksiring, Gianyar, this little heaven on earth overlooks the rice fields surrounding it, with large lush trees in front and green and wooden touches dominating the interior. If you come during the rainy season in the morning, you might even catch the cool and calming mist surrounding the area. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee with a nice dessert. Warung Niwa

Open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 6 PM to 9.30 PM, this cozy little spot works on first come, first served basis since they only have around 6–7 tables, so it’s best to come early. The restaurant is run by a real Japanese chef, serving authentic Japanese comfort food with affordable prices and satisfying portions. Their gyudon, gyoza, ramen, and hambagu rice are highly recommended. The space is semi open-air with a peaceful and homey atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly. As a bonus, they also have a friendly dog that greets guests with the sweetest smile.

Zzan Zzan Pocha

If you know pojangmacha, the iconic Korean street-side tent that serves all kinds of comfort street food, Zzan Zzan Pocha took the same concept. The design is not exactly like a tent and feels a bit more elevated, but the food and overall concept still stay true to the pojangmacha experience. Honestly, the menu also feels quite different compared to most Korean restaurants in Bali. Their Rose Tteokbokki Pasta is a must-try if you want pasta with a Korean spicy sauce twist. It’s creamy, mildly spicy, and made even better with fish cake and beef bacon. What’s even better is that you can also cross-order from ChiNarae, their sister restaurant across from Zzan Zzan Bar, which serves Korean fried chicken and gimbap. Their homemade makgeolli or rice wine is also worth trying. Craving dessert? Go for the hotteok. Overall, it’s a really nice place to gather with your friends and relax after work.
