In celebration of National Batik Day, Merusaka Nusa Dua proudly presents “WASTRA WONDERLAND: BERKAIN NUSANTARA”, held on last Friday October 27, 2025, at the hotel’s Main Garden. Wastra Wonderland has become the third edition, an anticipated annual celebration that highlights the beauty and richness of Indonesia’s traditional textiles. This year’s event is organized in collaboration with several esteemed associations and institutions, including the Indonesian Fashion Chamber Chapter Bali, Business & Export Development Organization – Bali, Bali Institute of Design and Business, and Nusa Gemilang Indonesia Modelling School
Carrying the theme “Berkain Nusantara”, the event features a curated collection of traditional Indonesian fabrics reimagined for modern lifestyles by six Indonesian talented designers such as : Dwico by Dwi Iskandar, Dewi Suarjani, Kominela, Lumiga, Neliyo, and Debz to present their innovative creations, enhanced by exquisite accessories from Manika and Komang Tri Jewelry, and complemented by makeup artistry from Make Over Bali.
Hosted in the lush surroundings of Merusaka Nusa Dua, the event brings together a delightful blend of exhibitions, fashion shows, talk shows, and culinary showcases, culminating in captivating Balinese performing arts and contemporary dances inspired by the spirit of the Indonesian archipelago.
