Nestled amidst the lush tropical landscape of the Petanu River valley, Maya Ubud Resort & Spa collaborated with Bali-born fashion label Paulina Katarina to host Maya Journée: Elsewhere Within – With Paulina Katarina, an exclusive lifestyle experience held from 11 to 13 October 2026. Designed as an ode to the art of slowing down, the three-day immersion seamlessly intertwined fashion, holistic wellness, and immersive sanctuary living.
Inspired by the wanderlust-driven feeling of being somewhere beyond the ordinary, the event served as the natural backdrop for Paulina Katarina’s latest Elsewhere collection. Built around the philosophy of carrying a distinct sense of place wherever life leads, the line’s relaxed, fluid silhouettes paired effortlessly with the resort’s serene environment, offering modern travellers a fresh, elevated perspective on experiencing Ubud.
Throughout the stay, a curated circle of lifestyle creators and distinguished guests were invited to embark on a sensory journey from dawn to dusk. The experience commenced with deep relaxation, as guests indulged in bespoke herbal treatments and floral bath rituals at Spa at Maya, followed by an intimate fireside soirée at Growing Grounds featuring handcrafted cocktails and artisanal treats beside the open bonfire. The evening culminated in a dinner at Mayasari, where local flavours were complemented by live music and a traditional Balinese Legong dance performance.
The following day emphasised mindful living and holistic wellness. The morning began with a grounding yoga session overlooking the mist-shrouded valley, followed by a private aerial yoga class in the tranquil Yoga Pavilion. Guests then gathered at Growing Grounds for an interactive herbalist elixir workshop, learning the art of crafting botanical remedies using local herbs before enjoying a wholesome lunch inspired by Bali’s rich culinary heritage.
As dusk settled over Ubud, guests gathered at the Ceremonial Plaza for sundown cocktails and canapés, bringing together influential women across creative industries to celebrate the collaboration in a relaxed and intimate setting. The gathering continued at the Maya Presidential Villa, the resort’s most expansive private sanctuary. Here, Paulina Katarina’s Elsewhere collection was thoughtfully integrated into the villa’s refined interiors, presenting a lounge-style showcase that celebrated modern and expressive elegance. Multi-sensory touchpoints enriched the atmosphere, featuring artistic photo collage installations, personalised affirmation cards, and an immersive fragrance activation by KYFEE by Luna Maya.
The evening concluded with an intimate candlelit dinner on the Tree Bar Terrace, overlooking the illuminated Petanu River valley. Set against this picturesque backdrop, the evening featured reflections from Risya Wulansari, General Manager of Maya Resorts, on the resort’s 25th anniversary milestone and the deeper ethos behind the brand.

Beyond its visual elegance, Maya Journée: Elsewhere Within reflects a shared philosophy between Maya Ubud Resort & Spa and Paulina Katarina, one that celebrates intentional design, holistic wellbeing, and a natural harmony with one’s surroundings.
