Marriott Business Council (MBC) Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo continued its commitment to purposeful engagement through its Customer Activity Pillar by hosting a Networking Soirée and Charity Auction at Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, on Friday, 24 April 2026.

Bringing together travel agent partners and media representatives, the event was designed to foster new connections while strengthening long-term partnerships. At the same time, it served as a platform to create meaningful social impact through collective action within the hospitality community.
This initiative marked one of the key activations under the Customer Activity Pillar, a strategic program by MBC Bali aimed at connecting partners not only to Marriott’s growing portfolio, but also to the communities in which it operates.
The highlight of the evening was a charity auction, supported by Marriott properties across Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo, with proceeds benefiting Yayasan Cahaya Mutiara Ubud, a local foundation dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities. The initiative reflected MBC Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo’s ongoing dedication to inclusivity, community engagement, and social responsibility.

The event also featured curated experiences designed to encourage engagement among guests. Attendees enjoyed a contemporary Balinese performance with a sustainability narrative, as well as interactive sessions and networking opportunities that brought together industry partners in a meaningful and relaxed setting.
“This initiative was designed to bring our partners closer not only to our portfolio, but also to the communities we serve,” said Go Kondo, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Bali and Customer Activity Pillar Leader, Marriott Business Council Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo. “Through meaningful engagement like this, we aim to build stronger relationships while creating a positive and lasting impact.”
The initiative aligns with Marriott International’s Serve360: Doing Good in Every Direction, particularly its focus on Nurturing Our World and Empowering Through Opportunity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting local communities and fostering inclusive growth.

Showcasing Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
The event was hosted at Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, which celebrated its soft opening in January 2026 and represents one of the newest additions to Marriott’s portfolio in Bali.
Set in the tranquil highlands of Bresela village, the resort offers a distinctive blend of contemporary design and cultural authenticity. During the event, guests were invited to experience the property through a guided showcase, including visits to its villas, suites, and key facilities, providing insight into the guest experience offered by the resort.

The program also featured signature cultural activities, including Boreh and Dupa making, allowing guests to connect with Balinese traditions. Adding a creative highlight, the resort’s Executive Chef presented a unique edible art piece made from chocolate cake, inspired by the panoramic landscape views from the resort’s lobby.
Yudi Hendarsyah, General Manager of Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, commented, “We were honored to host this initiative and to be part of a meaningful collaboration that brought together our partners and community. As a new destination within the Marriott portfolio, we look forward to contributing not only through hospitality experiences, but also through initiatives that create a positive impact.”
