Samsara Ubud proudly unveils Samsara Pustaka, its newest facility dedicated to the enduring beauty of literature, the richness of Indonesian storytelling, and the timeless value of human-crafted creativity.
Conceived as a new "door" to enrich the guest experience, Samsara Pustaka invites visitors to explore a different side of their holiday journey through books, ideas, music, and meaningful cultural connections. More than a library, this intimate sanctuary embodies Samsara Ubud's belief that, amidst the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and digital innovation, authentic human expression remains irreplaceable.
Inspired by the art of crafting original stories in a technology-driven era, Samsara Pustaka also serves as a platform to promote and raise awareness of independent Indonesian authors from Sabang to Merauke. Through this initiative, Samsara Ubud hopes to celebrate the diverse voices that shape Indonesia's literary landscape while encouraging guests to reconnect with the simple pleasure of turning pages and discovering new perspectives.
The soft launch ceremony commenced with a welcoming speech by Mr. Paulus Tuasuun, General Manager of Samsara Ubud, who shared the vision behind Samsara Pustaka as a space where guests can pause, reflect, and embrace the transformative power of stories.
The evening continued with a special address from Mr. Bayu Sarwono, Owner of Samsara Ubud, who highlighted the importance of preserving spaces that nurture creativity and cultural appreciation. Reflecting the philosophy behind Samsara Pustaka, he shared:
"Technology may change the way we create, but stories remain profoundly human. Through Samsara Pustaka, we hope to preserve a sanctuary where ideas are nurtured, imagination flourishes, and Indonesian voices continue to inspire generations to come."
Marking the official soft launch of Samsara Pustaka, the celebration was elevated by the presence of acclaimed Indonesian author Dee Lestari, who captivated guests with an exclusive poetry session. Through her evocative performance, literature came alive beyond the pages, transforming words into a shared experience of emotion, reflection, and inspiration.
The evening concluded with an exceptional Indonesian culinary journey curated by Chef Iwan Sutrisno, Executive Chef of Samsara Ubud. Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of the Indonesian archipelago, each dish celebrated authenticity, craftsmanship, and the stories embedded within the nation's diverse culinary traditions.
With the opening of Samsara Pustaka, Samsara Ubud hopes to create more than just a new facility within the resort.
