Bali has long been known as one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations. Yet behind its natural beauty and cultural richness, the island continues to face growing environmental challenges from waste management issues and land conversion to the increasing impacts of climate change.
At the same time, many inspiring initiatives are emerging across Bali. Hotels, restaurants, local communities, and sustainability solution providers are increasingly taking meaningful steps toward more responsible and regenerative tourism practices.
Responding to this growing movement, Eco Tourism Bali, in collaboration with The Meru Sanur and the Wonderful Indonesia Sustainable Tourism Industry Forum, proudly presents The Meru Eco Tourism Week 4th Edition, taking place on 30–31 May 2026 at the Bali Beach Convention Center, Sanur.
Carrying the theme “Tourism as a Force for Good: Regenerating Bali Together,” the event highlights the idea that tourism can go beyond economic growth. Tourism also has the power to restore ecosystems, support local communities, and help shape a more sustainable future for Bali.
As conversations around sustainability continue to grow globally, The Meru Eco Tourism Week 4th Edition aims to become a collaborative platform where ideas, innovation, and real actions come together. The event will bring together government representatives, tourism industry leaders, communities, academics, sustainable businesses, and younger generations to encourage collective action for the future of Bali’s tourism sector.

Eco Tourism Bali is also honored to announce the attendance of Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, at The Meru Eco Tourism Week 4th Edition.
During the two-day event, attendees will experience a variety of programs, including discussions on sustainability and regenerative tourism practices, the Eco Business Pitch showcasing environmentally responsible innovations, the Eco Climate Badge Award recognizing verified hotels and restaurants taking measurable sustainability actions in Bali, as well as exhibitions and networking sessions.
Through this platform, Eco Tourism Bali and The Meru Sanur hope to show that sustainable and regenerative tourism is not just an ideal vision for the future, but something that is already happening and creating real impact across Bali today.
The future of Bali is a shared responsibility. The island’s environment directly affects tourism experiences, local livelihoods, and the wellbeing of future generations. Every action no matter how small plays a part in protecting and preserving Bali.
Through The Meru Eco Tourism Week 4th Edition, the public is invited to participate directly, whether as attendees, industry stakeholders, or individuals who want to learn, connect, and contribute toward building a more responsible tourism future.
