As wellness travel continues to grow globally, AYANA Bali marked Global Wellness Day 2026 on 13 June with a curated program of restorative experiences inspired by this year’s theme, #JoyMagenta. Centered around the idea that joy supports resilience and emotional wellbeing, the annual initiative encourages people around the world to reconnect with healthier, more mindful lifestyles.
Observed in more than 100 countries since its founding in 2012, Global Wellness Day is a not-for-profit social movement built around the message, “One day can change your whole life.” Across AYANA Bali’s 90-hectare clifftop destination overlooking Jimbaran Bay, guests took part in guided meditation, sound healing, and Thalassotherapy sessions. These experiences reflect AYANA Bali’s broader approach to wellness, which integrates spa, nature, movement, and mindful dining throughout the resort experience.
The celebration was held amid growing global interest in wellness-focused travel, with destinations such as Bali increasingly sought after for experiences focused on nature, mindfulness, and holistic wellbeing. In Indonesia, traditional healing practices, spiritual traditions, and slower-paced resort experiences continue to shape the country’s emergence as one of Asia’s leading wellness destinations.
At the heart of the resort’s wellness offerings is AYANA Spa, recognized in Oprah Daily’s 2025 Hotel O-Wards as one of the world’s top destination spas. Spanning 2.2 hectares, the spa features 47 treatment rooms and one of the world’s largest hydrotherapy seawater pools, the Thalassotherapy Pool, where mineral-rich seawater, massage jets, and countercurrent therapies support circulation, muscular recovery, and relaxation beneath an open-air pavilion overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Complementing the spa is Spa on the Rocks, an intimate cliffside retreat built into natural rock formations above the ocean. The villa-style treatment spaces combine therapeutic rituals with panoramic coastal views and the sound of the waves below, offering one of the resort’s most memorable spaces for relaxation and renewal.
Wellness is also reflected throughout the broader resort experience, with 14 swimming pools, fitness facilities, yoga spaces, and nature-focused experiences integrated across the property. Guests may also explore Tevana Garden, AYANA Bali’s six-hectare garden inspired by the harmony of Balinese landscapes and Japanese design, featuring tranquil walking paths, koi ponds, a panoramic viewpoint tower, and a peaceful Tea Room designed for quiet reflection and connection with nature.
AYANA Bali’s wellness dining program, first introduced at AYANA Spa Café and later expanded to venues including Sami Sami — an open-air Italian trattoria with stunning sea views — emphasizes balanced nutrition and lighter preparations inspired by Mediterranean and Asian flavors.
Developed in February 2026, the latest wellness menu features dishes such as the Sashimi Tuna Salad, Miso Glazed Tofu with Cilantro & Eggplant, Grilled Atlantic Salmon, and Salsa Verde Tiger Shrimp, alongside plant-forward desserts including Raw Vegan Dark Chocolate, Avocado Chocolate Mousse, and Key Lime Vegan Cake.
Through its Global Wellness Day program, AYANA Bali invited guests to pause, reconnect, and embrace wellbeing through simple, meaningful experiences shaped by nature, movement, nourishment, and rest. In the spirit of this year’s #JoyMagenta theme, the celebration reflected AYANA Bali’s ongoing commitment to creating spaces where wellness becomes a natural part of everyday life.
