On Friday, 12th December 2025, What's New Bali team had the privilege of attending Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort as the iconic beachfront resort celebrated its 12th anniversary with La Nuit Sutra – Silk & Serenity. Held at the grand Kecak Ballroom, the celebration welcomed around 150 invited guests, including media partners, VIP clients, Platinum members, and esteemed brand collaborators. The evening was meticulously curated to honor Sofitel’s journey over the past twelve years, while also looking ahead to a future defined by creativity, culture, and timeless sophistication.

The evening began with a warm address from General Manager Jean-Pierre 'JP' Joncas, who reflected on the resort’s 12 year journey. This was followed by a breathtaking aerial silk performance, a poetic interpretation of the theme that quite literally brought silk and serenity into motion, floating gracefully above the ballroom and drawing the room into a moment of quiet awe.

Dinner was served as a thoughtfully curated gala experience, showcasing Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort’s culinary philosophy. French techniques met Balinese flavors in a menu that felt refined yet approachable, elegant without being excessive. A lucky draw segment added a touch of excitement, before the evening concluded with a DJ set by DJ Remi.
