The heart of Ubud shines brighter this December as The Café Lotus invites guests to celebrate the festive season in one of Bali’s most enchanting settings, beside the sacred Saraswati Temple and its iconic lotus pond. For more than four decades, The Café Lotus has stood as a living symbol of Balinese culture, where the island’s artistry, flavors, and spirit come together in harmony.
This year, the legendary restaurant presents a duo of elegant experiences, a Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Celebration and a New Year’s Eve Dinner — each blending exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, and soulful performance beneath Ubud’s starlit sky.

Guests are invited to dine under the stars, surrounded by candlelight, blooming lotus flowers, and the gentle sound of gamelan melodies drifting through the air. The Café Lotus presents a special four-course festive menu, thoughtfully designed to celebrate the season through Bali’s finest ingredients and artistic presentation.
The evening will be graced with either a Balinese dance performance or live saxophone music, blending the island’s timeless traditions with the warmth and romance of Christmas. Every element, from the table décor to the serene temple backdrop, evokes the feeling of togetherness and gratitude.

The Café Lotus will host Flavors of Nusantara, a four-course New Year’s Eve dinner highlighting the diversity of Indonesian cuisine. The menu features dishes such as Tuna Dabu-Dabu and Ayam Woku, combining regional traditions with a contemporary approach. The evening program includes Balinese dance and live saxophone music, concluding with a toast to 2026 under the temple lights and lotus ponds.
