Marriott Business Council Donate 2,400 Pairs of Shoes
Through “Shoes to School” Program
Guided by Marriott International's Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction commitment, Marriott Business Council Jakarta today donates 2,400 pairs of shoes to children from underprivileged backgrounds. A collective effort by 19 Marriott International hotels in Jakarta, the initiative supports children under the care of various foundations across the city, helping provide comfort, confidence, and support for their daily activities.

Taking place on 9 October 2026 at The Westin Jakarta, this annual community engagement program reflects Marriott International’s ongoing dedication to creating positive change in the community where it operates. Through collaboration across multiple properties, Marriott International associates unite under a shared purpose to contribute to the well-being of future generations. As part of the event, a ceremonial handover of the donated shoes will be conducted with representatives from Scholars of Sustenance, Save the Children Indonesia, Emmanuel Foundation, and Elsafan Foundation. The occasion serves as a celebration of the collective effort between Marriott International and community partners in supporting children and families through meaningful and impactful initiatives.
For many children, a new pair of shoes represents more than just footwear. It symbolizes dignity, opportunity, and confidence as they take steps toward achieving their dreams. Through this donation, Marriott Business Council Jakarta aims to support their educational and personal journeys while bringing hope and encouragement to those who need it most.

More than a charitable initiative, Serve 360 embodies Marriott International's commitment to serving communities and building a more inclusive future. By working together, the participating hotels demonstrate the power of collective action in creating lasting, meaningful impact throughout Jakarta and beyond.
