The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has officially appointed Indonesia as the host of the FIA Rallycross World Cup 2026, which will take place at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit in Ancol, Jakarta, on 5-6th December 2026, marking a new milestone for Indonesia’s motorsport landscape.

The event will represent the first expansion of rallycross competition into Southeast Asia, as the FIA seeks to introduce the discipline to new and rapidly growing motorsport markets.

“The FIA Rallycross World Cup will allow fans the opportunity to experience this discipline on the world stage in 2026, bringing together drivers from across different regions,” said FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

Scheduled to take place at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit in North Jakarta’s Ancol district, the circuit will be transformed into a rallycross track featuring a mixed-surface configuration, combining asphalt and dirt to create the fast-paced, close-quarters racing that defines the discipline.

Indonesia is considered an ideal venue for the championship, thanks to its large fan base, lively motorsport culture, and rapidly growing sports and entertainment industry. While rallycross has traditionally maintained a strong following in Europe, the Jakarta event is expected to expand participation and strengthen the sport’s global footprint.

During the competition, top drivers will race Euro RX1 cars powered by internal combustion engines, competing in the classic rallycross format known for its intense head-to-head battles on compact tracks.

The FIA is partnering with Indonesian sports and entertainment ecosystem company SARGA.CO.

Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo, founder of SARGA Group, said the collaboration represents an important step in bringing world-class motorsport championships to Indonesia while supporting the growth of the country’s motorsport industry. Moreover, Aseanto Oudang, Co-Founder and CEO of SARGA.CO, described the event as a significant milestone for the country’s sports and entertainment sector.
