One Year, One Story, One-derful: 25hours Hotel The Oddbird in Jakarta

One year, countless stories, and endless odd moments worth celebrating. Since opening its doors on November 22, 2024, in Jakarta’s Sudirman Central Business District, 25hours Hotel The Oddbird has become more than just a place to stay, it is a vibrant playground for locals and travelers to live, create, and connect.

The hotel marked its debut with a memorable Grand Opening on April 2025 beginning with the Monocle Chief Conference at the Jakarta Ballroom and continuing into a block-style celebration that filled every corner with energy, creativity, and play. From sunset sessions by the pool to live DJ performances across the hotel and a headline act by Dipha Barus & Afgan, guests experienced the Oddbird spirit in full flight: vibrant, unexpected, and wonderfully one-derful.

In its first year, Oddbird embraced Jakarta’s vibrant paradoxes, balancing the city’s fast-paced rhythm with spaces dedicated to creativity, play, and meaningful connection. The hotel hosted art exhibitions with Rato, Muklay, and Lala Bohang, curated distinctive culinary moments at COPA and Cabana, and introduced wellness and music programs that invited guests to pause and recharge. From supporting breast cancer awareness through limited-edition desserts and mugs with LovePink, to encouraging guests to contribute to river-cleaning efforts by opting out of room servicing with the Plastic Fischer Foundation, and offering movement and wellbeing activations with Volvo and ON Cloud, these initiatives enriched the guest experience and shaped a year that was as meaningful as it was one-derfully odd.

The first year was also filled with recognition of Oddbird’s distinct approach to hospitality: Best New Hotel by Tatler Indonesia, along with nominations for DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2026 and AHEAD Asia 2025. Guided by its pillars of food, art, music, community, and play, Oddbird proved that in just one year, a hotel can be a canvas for stories, a stage for experiences, and a playground for odd moments, setting the stage for many more one-derful years to come.
