Room Art Fair 2026 Transforms 25hours Hotel Jakarta into a Living Gallery
From lobby to guest rooms, art moves through the hotel in a more open, everyday
To mark World Art Day on April 15, 25hours Hotel Jakarta The Oddbird presents Room Art Fair 2026, its first edition in Jakarta, where the concept is simple: hotel rooms reimagined as immersive gallery spaces.
Running from 16 to 19 April 2026, the fair takes over the hotel’s 10th floor. Each room is opened up to the public, free of charge, and presents a different artist or gallery. Visitors move from room to room, seeing works up close, without the usual distance of a traditional gallery setup.
In collaboration with the Indonesian Art Galleries Association (AGSI), the fair brings together 13 galleries, reflecting a mix of contemporary practices across Indonesia. The format is intentionally less formal, creating space for artists, galleries, collectors, and visitors to meet in a setting that feels more natural and less staged. Supported by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), the initiative also aligns with the Ministry of Tourism’s efforts to connect art, hospitality, and travel in ways that feel current and relevant.
“At 25hours Hotel The Oddbird, we see the hotel as a place for exchange. Room Art Fair is our way of opening up the space, letting art sit closer to people, and making it part of everyday life, while also celebrating World Art Day in a way that feels relevant to urban life,” said Wibi Hananto, Asst. Director of Marketing Communications.

The experience begins at the lobby with Meet Me in the Lobby, curated by Zarani Risjad. Here, works from the fair are presented in a more open setting, where guests and visitors can encounter art more casually, without needing to seek it out. From there, the journey continues up to the 10th floor, where each room reveals a different gallery and body of work.
“This is a step towards making art more accessible in a format that feels closer to how people move and interact today,” said Maya Sujatmiko, representing AGSI
Set within the hotel’s contrasting room styles, from urban to garden, each space adds its own context to the works on display. The result is less about a fixed exhibition, and more about how art and space interact.
Room Art Fair is part of a broader World Art Day programme at the hotel, inviting people to experience art in a way that feels easy to approach and open to all, while encouraging new encounters and ideas within Jakarta’s art ecosystem.
