Melodies without Borders – Charity Concert for Pediatric Cancer, Youth & Humanitarian Cause
Soehanna Hall will host an afternoon of classical music on 5 April 2026, featuring Japanese pianist Takeshi Kakehashi performing a rare appearance in Jakarta. Born blind and trained in Vienna from an early age, Kakehashi has built an international career spanning Europe and the Americas, including a debut at Carnegie Hall.
Joining the performance are Indonesian composer–pianist Ananda Sukarlan and pianist Michael Anthony Kwok, presenting a newly written composition alongside soprano Mariska Setiawan. Organized by Lions Club Jakarta Cendana, the concert begins at 3 PM and offers a thoughtful Sunday afternoon with music that bridges cultures and generations.
