
Henshin returns with its Behind The Bar Series, featuring a bar takeover by Kim Dongje of The Backdrop, Singapore’s latest cocktail bar known for its ‘percolated cocktails’. The bar takeover will take place on Friday, 25 October 2025 on Henshin’s rooftop bar on The Westin Jakarta’s 67th floor.
Kim will be presenting four of his signature cocktails, including ‘Greek Salad’, made of gin, oregano, feta cheese and Perrier Original. Also, ‘Yellow Curry Paloma’, consisting of Tequila, Thai curry, Aperol and Perrier Grapefruit; ‘Green Fairy’ with Vodka, dill, elderflower and Perrier Peach; as well as ‘Negroni Supreme’ with gin, Campari, sweet Vermouth and orange bitter. Each cocktail is available at IDR 200,000++ per glass.
The Backdrop is a speakeasy bar in Singapore who brings a revolutionary bartending techniques that transcends the centuries-old traditions and redefines the art of cocktail crafting with its ‘Percolated Cocktails’. This technique shifts away from the conventional tools and mixology methods.
