The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF) 2025 was successfully held on October 4–5, 2025, at The Papandayan Hotel Bandung, marking a decade of its journey as one of Indonesia’s most consistent and respected jazz festivals. Carrying the theme “A Culture Resonance,” TPJF 2025 celebrated the harmony between music, culture, and creative communities — a resonance that continues to grow from Bandung to the world.

This year’s festival brought together hundreds of musicians across generations and genres, including Barry Likumahuwa feat. Trie Utami, Dwiki Dharmawan feat. Rimar, The Sisters (Imelda Rosalin, Arina Mocca, and Dee Lestari), as well as Afgan, HIVI!, and Iwa K. Each stage offered bold and refreshing collaborations — from classic jazz to pop, from ethnic nuances to urban modern sounds.
A special highlight distinguishing this year’s edition was the introduction of Pasar Jazz, a dedicated area featuring local F&B and UMKM (‘Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah’) vendors. This initiative expanded the festival’s impact beyond music, serving as a platform for Bandung’s creative economy. Visitors enjoyed a diverse array of local culinary delights while immersing themselves in live performances, making TPJF not just a festival, but a living, community-rooted celebration.

The opening night was marked by several historic moments, including the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to the late Harry Roesli, the signing of the “A Beacon of Jazz From Bandung to the World” inscription by Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan, and the Certificate of Appreciation from the Bandung City Government to the founders of TP Jazz Management — Bobby Renaldi, Hari Pochang, and Venche Manuhutu. In addition, The Papandayan Hotel received a MURI (Indonesian World Record Museum) award as the first hotel in Indonesia to consistently host a jazz festival for ten consecutive years.

Closing the festival with high energy, Iwa K lit up the Ron88 Stage, evoking 90s nostalgia through timeless hits such as “Bebas” and “Kuingin Kembali,” with the audience joyfully singing along.

In an interview session, Bobby Renaldi, Founder of TP Jazz Management and General Manager of The Papandayan Hotel, shared the deeper meaning behind the festival’s tagline “A Beacon of Jazz from Bandung to the World.”
“We feel responsible for carrying that statement. It means we are a platform for both young and senior musicians. In this tenth year, with the theme ‘A Culture Resonance,’ we want to amplify the spirit of openness born from TPJF — a meeting ground across ages, genres, and art forms. Here, jazz becomes a host for other arts and musical genres, belonging to everyone who ultimately learns to embrace and love jazz itself,” said Bobby.

The 10th anniversary celebration of TPJF 2025 was not merely a reflection of its remarkable journey but also a declaration of its future — that Bandung will continue to be a home for creativity, collaboration, and cultural resonance. Supported by Media Group, Ron88, MLD Spot, and numerous community and art partners, TPJF 2025 proudly proves that the sound of jazz from Bandung now echoes to the world.
