Dining at Dago Pakar always feels special, thanks to its elevated location that offers sweeping views of the city and the surrounding nature. The newest addition to the area, Seeng Noodle Boat, brings a unique concept with noodles at the heart of its menu. From the name alone, you might wonder what the “boat” refers to. Interestingly, the entire restaurant is designed to make guests feel as though they are dining on a boat, perched on the hillside with Bandung’s skyline stretching in the distance. Wooden interiors, deck-style seating, and an open-air layout create the impression of being aboard, while the surrounding greenery completes the illusion of floating above the landscape.
Visiting in the evening makes the experience even more enchanting, as the view of the setting sun pairs beautifully with the meal. We began with a Thai Salad, a refreshing start before diving into a feast of noodles. The menu offers a variety of creations, each with its own character. The Rendang Raya delivers the authentic flavors of Nusantara, topped with tender, diced rendang—perfect for anyone craving this iconic dish in a new form. On the other end of the spectrum, the Pesto Italiano is a vibrant green noodle infused with pesto, accompanied by chicken and cherry tomatoes that bring balance and freshness to the plate. This one instantly became our favorite.

Seeng Noodle Boat doesn’t stop at noodles. The menu extends to tempting side dishes, a diverse beverage list, and sweet endings. Drinks range from mocktails and juices to coffee, with the Pineapple Margarita standing out as a refreshing mix of sweet and tangy notes—an ideal companion to the meal. For dessert, we tried the Coconut Mango Bowl, served in a real coconut with mango and coconut slices topped with ice cream. Refreshing and delightful, it was the perfect way to close our meal.

After our stomachs were full, we took a stroll through the outdoor area, which made the experience even more memorable. The space is beautifully arranged—a garden with a gentle stream flowing along the pathway, a pond crossed by wooden paths, and a fountain that adds a soothing atmosphere. On one side, a glass-front building serves as a souvenir and gift shop, displaying an array of charming items—from cute accessories and uniquely shaped keychains to body care products—that add a playful touch to the visit. On the other side, a semi-open dining space opens up to the greenery, blending the comfort of dining with the beauty of nature.

What makes this garden truly special is how picturesque it is. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed and effortlessly beautiful, making it an undeniably Instagrammable spot. From the reflections on the pond to the lush greenery surrounding the paths, it’s the kind of place where you’ll want to pause for photos. The highlight is a large wooden-framed mirror nestled among the plants—an aesthetic feature that doubles as a favorite backdrop for mirror selfies.

As the sun began to set, we lingered a little longer, sipping our drinks and soaking in the view. It was a heartwarming way to end the visit. Open daily, Seeng Noodle Boat is perfect for a quick weekday dine or a leisurely weekend escape. With its cozy ambiance, beautiful setting, and affordable prices, it’s a destination worth returning to.
