Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta Promotes Local UMKM and Culture

Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta once again shows its concern for UMKM and local communities, as well as the tourism and creative industries in Yogyakarta, by holding the HyWeekend Fest event with the theme Green Playground. This event will be held for three days at Merapi Garden, namely on June 27-29, 2025, starting at 09.00 to 22.00 WIB.

HyWeekend Fest combines two signature events of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, namely Weekend Market and Wellbeing Weekend. Weekend Market is a pop-up market event from a curated local brand that was first held in 2023.

This event is a collaboration with Pasar Keliling, an event organizer that has successfully created various similar events in various well-known locations, such as Sarinah, M Bloc Space, Taman Ismail Marzuki, JNM Bloc, and Lokananta. Visitors can enjoy more than 35 tenants presenting a variety of artisan products, ranging from fashion, accessories, handicrafts, home decor, personal care, as well as food and beverages.

Meanwhile, Wellbeing Weekend presents various fitness and mindfulness activities, creative workshops, and cultural preservation, which are also facilitated by the local community. There will be several cultural activities offered, such as yoga, pilates, and barre intensity.

For visitors seeking peace amidst the hustle and bustle of their lives, they can take meditation classes with singing bowls or sound healing, mindful eating classes, mixing perfume, and making incense. Mindfulness activities will also be combined with cultural activities through cloth sessions, exploring the garden while solving challenges through games around Javanese culture, and continued with meditation sessions, learning jemparingan, and traditional Javanese archery.

Creative workshops can be an alternative activity on the weekend, such as making key chains, watches, beauty classes, and wine and cheese blending classes. These activities and classes can be followed at various costs, starting from IDR 100,000 net per person.

For visitors who come with their families, they can also enjoy various activities for children, such as traditional toys, making kites, making bracelets, eco printing, batik, coloring tote bags, and painting. HyWeeked Fest: Green Playground is open to the public, and there is no entrance fee.
