Miss Grand Jawa Timur 2026 successfully crowned a new queen on 2 May 2026 at Graha Unesa, marking a memorable chapter in East Java’s pageant scene. Organized by GEMAR Creative Surabaya under the direction of Dimas Jay and project leader Nailul Asma, the prestigious competition celebrated women who embody beauty, intelligence, confidence, and strong character. After an inspiring journey of competition, Gista Alisa Gista Alisa was officially crowned Miss Grand Jawa Timur 2026, earning the honor of representing East Java at Miss Grand Indonesia 2026.

Gista Alisa’s crowning marks the beginning of East Java’s next bright journey toward national and global pageant success.

The road to the crown began in January 2026 through an exclusive selection process designed to discover women with not only visual elegance but also intellectual strength, leadership qualities, and meaningful personal presence. After months of auditions and evaluation, twelve finalists were chosen in March, each representing a modern image of grace and ambition. The journey continued with a pre-eliminatory event on 26 April 2026, where finalists showcased confidence, poise, and individuality in a sophisticated and competitive atmosphere that highlighted their readiness for the crown.

The pageant experience became even more elevated during the official quarantine program, which was carefully curated at two prestigious venues: Taman Dayu Golf and Resort and Vasa Hotel Surabaya as the official hotel partner. At Taman Dayu, finalists embraced a refined resort lifestyle during the Resort Wear Competition, appearing effortlessly glamorous in elegant gowns designed by Recha Bapao. The showcase became more than a fashion moment, it reflected each finalist’s personal style, confidence, and sophistication.

The quarantine journey continued at Vasa Hotel Surabaya, where finalists entered a more intensive phase of personal development, leadership training, and character building. One of the most memorable highlights was a beautifully curated cultural parade that celebrated Indonesia’s artistic diversity. The visual spectacle combined the elegance of hanfu-inspired aesthetics, the energetic performance of barongsai, and the grandeur of Reog Ponorogo, creating a meaningful cultural statement that added depth and identity to the competition. Before the Grand Final, finalists also faced a deep interview session one of the most crucial judging phases, where their vision, values, and readiness to become a titleholder were examined in depth.

The Grand Final itself was a dazzling celebration of glamour and excellence. Eleven finalists took the stage before a distinguished panel of judges, opening the night with a captivating performance in emerald green cocktail dresses, once again designed by Recha Bapao. Their elegant stage presence immediately set a luxurious and confident tone for the evening. After several rounds of judging, the competition narrowed down to the top three finalists: Gista Alisa, Gabriella Amanda, and Nadya Kurniawan. Following the decisive Q&A session and final statement round, Gista Alisa emerged as the winner. Nadya Kurniawan was named 1st Runner Up, while Gabriella Amanda secured the title of 2nd Runner Up.

As the new titleholder, Gista Alisa will now carry East Java’s hopes to the national stage at Miss Grand Indonesia 2026. Should she win the national crown, she will continue her journey internationally by representing Indonesia at Miss Grand International, which is scheduled to be held in India. This year’s success also builds on the strong legacy of Michelle Gavrielle, who proudly represented East Java at Miss Grand Indonesia 2025 and achieved the Runner Up title. Her dedication, discipline, and perseverance have become a powerful source of inspiration for this year’s finalists, proving that East Java continues to produce women capable of shining on the national stage.

Regional Director Dimas Jay expressed his appreciation for the extraordinary quality shown by this year’s participants, emphasizing that their determination, passion, and commitment raised the standard of competition to a new level. He also shared optimism for an even bigger and more spectacular edition in 2027, with more finalists, higher standards, and a grander experience for pageant lovers across Indonesia.
