The highly anticipated Online Scholarship Competition (OSC) by Medcom.id returns, officially opening applications for its 2026 edition. Designed as a gateway to higher education, the program once again extends a coveted opportunity for Indonesian students to pursue a fully funded undergraduate degree through to completion.
This year, OSC partners with nine esteemed private universities across Indonesia, collectively offering 140 scholarships to outstanding candidates who successfully pass the selection process. Beyond full tuition coverage, selected awardees may also receive additional living cost support—an initiative made possible through the program’s continued collaboration with the Surya Edukasi Bangsa Foundation (SEBAF).
This year’s application timeline has been restructured to align with the end of the second semester in Indonesia’s high school academic calendar.
“For those who have just completed Grade 12 and are looking to continue their studies, now is the moment to apply for OSC and secure a full scholarship through graduation,” shared Achmad Firdaus during the OSC 2026 Kick Off.
OSC 2026 is open to Grade 12 students from SMA/SMK/MA (or equivalent) graduating in 2026, as well as recent graduates taking a gap year. Applicants are required to complete their personal data via the official website and meet a set of administrative criteria, including demonstrated academic or non-academic achievements and a strong commitment to pursuing higher education.
The selection process is both rigorous and comprehensive. Candidates may apply to one university with a maximum of two study programs and must complete every stage—from a mandatory tryout and online testing to the final test for shortlisted participants. Failure to participate in any stage will result in disqualification.
Accessibility remains at the heart of the program. According to SEBAF Secretary, Herfindo Satria Gading, the application process has been designed to be intuitive and streamlined. Prospective applicants simply need to visit the official OSC platform at osc.medcom.id, create an account, and select their preferred university.
“Participants can apply to one university with up to two study programs using a single account. They’ll also have access to detailed university profiles, including requirements and terms, before making their choice,” Herfindo explained.
The institutions in this year’s program include Universitas Mercu Buana, Universitas Ciputra Jakarta, Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya, Universitas Gajayana, Universitas Islam Malang, Universitas Fajar, Universitas Muslim Indonesia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, and Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.
The OSC 2026 journey begins with its official kick-off on 21st April 2026, followed by an application window open until 3rd June 2026. The selection stages—spanning mandatory tryouts, online examinations, and final assessments—will take place from late June to early July, culminating in the OSC Awards in July 2026.
