Jakarta and Surrounding Area Malls with Passport Services

Applying for a passport these days isn’t synonymous with endless queues at immigration offices. At least in Jakarta and surrounding areas (Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi), that is.

The Indonesian Ministry of Immigration and Corrections has introduced Immigration Lounges in a few malls. Now, Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals can handle their passport matters while browsing boutiques or enjoying a leisurely coffee.

The Immigration Lounges are specifically designed to handle new passport applications and passport replacements, focusing exclusively on electronic passports (e-passports). In addition to their expedited processing, these lounges are thoughtfully equipped with a range of modern facilities to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.

Differences between regular and express passport services

Both are application queue options, but they differ in processing time and cost. A regular passport typically requires approximately four working days to process. An express passport, by contrast, can be completed in as little as one to two hours.

Fees also vary. Regular electronic passports are priced at Rp650,000 for a five-year validity and Rp950,000 for a 10-year validity. Express services incur an additional Rp1 million, accumulating the total to Rp1,650,000 for a five-year e-passport and IDR 1,950,000 for a 10-year e-passport.

Bintaro Plaza

For residents of South Tangerang, the Passport Service Unit at Bintaro Plaza has a practical alternative to visiting the main immigration office. Located on the 2nd floor, this unit is managed by the Tangerang Immigration Office. Services include new passport applications and renewals for both standard and electronic passports. As with all official units, applicants must first register through the M-Paspor app and arrive according to their scheduled time.

Cibubur Junction

Cibubur Junction stands out as one of the most comprehensive passport service locations in East Jakarta due to its human-rights–friendly services, prioritising elderly applicants, pregnant women, children under five, and disabled individuals. Managed by the East Jakarta Class I Immigration Office, this unit handles new passport applications, renewals, and replacements for lost or damaged passports. Same-day express passport services are also available on weekends, albeit with limited quotas.

Grand Metropolitan Bekasi

Residents of Bekasi can now enjoy swift and efficient immigration services at the Immigration Lounge in Grand Metropolitan Mall. Located on the 4th floor, this lounge offers expedited electronic passport issuance and renewals, often completed within one to two hours. The lounge also provides stay permit services (ITAS/ITAP) for foreign nationals, with limited daily quotas. Applications are primarily handled through M-Paspor, though limited walk-in services may be available for certain applicants.

Located on Parking Level 5B, this passport service unit is operated by the South Jakarta Class I Special Non–Border Control Immigration Office and is a popular choice for both new passport applications and renewals. The Kemang Passport Service Unit provides new passport issuance, renewals, and same-day express services—ideal for those with time-sensitive requirements. Despite its mall setting, all procedures strictly adhere to official immigration regulations, including mandatory queue registration via the M-Paspor app.

The unit handles both new passport applications and renewals. Note that weekend passport services previously available here have now been relocated to the Immigration Lounge at Mall Taman Anggrek. Applicants are advised to register via M-Paspor and confirm service availability before visiting.

Located on the Ground Floor, this dedicated unit specialises in expedited electronic passport issuance for Indonesian citizens—often completed within a single day. Visa on Arrival (VoA) extensions for foreign nationals are also available. Designed with a modern and efficient concept, this lounge remains open on weekends with limited hours. Prior registration via the M-Paspor app is required.

Located on the 3rd floor of Pesona Square, this Immigration Lounge operates under the supervision of the Class I Non–Border Control Immigration Office of Depok. Set in sleekness, the Immigration Lounge is enhanced by Artificial Intelligence–powered customer service technology that assists applicants with information access. Available services include new electronic passport issuance, renewals, same-day express passports, and stay permits for foreign nationals. Please note that services for lost or damaged passports, as well as data changes, are not handled here. Daily quotas are limited to approximately 100 applicants.

Indonesian citizens may apply for same-day passport issuance or even one-hour replacement services.

The Immigration Lounge at Senayan City, located on the 6th floor, is a preferred destination for those in need of expedited electronic passport services due to its signature offering, the same-day passport service, which is ideal for urgent travel needs. Managed by the Central Jakarta Class I Non–Border Control Immigration Office, this unit was established to bring immigration services closer to the public. Its central location makes it particularly convenient for professionals handling applications between meetings or over the weekend.
