The Jakarta boutique: home, art space and cabinet of curiosities
Diptyque will open its first boutique in Jakarta in March 2026. By giving pride of place to its roving imagination and expression to the know-how at the origin of the pieces created by the Maison, this 92m² space captures the originality and poetry that has characterised Diptyque since its inception. Echoing the founding spirit of its first boutique at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, it is a melting pot where the Diptyque identity and its host culture meet in a celebration of unconventionality and wanderlust.
On entering the boutique in the Plaza Indonesia shopping mall, past its iconic green façade and over a custom-made mosaic, visitors discover a world of its own, where furnishings and objects are carefully chosen for their emotional resonance and storytelling power. Its sophisticated and eclectic mix of dark-wood parquet flooring, stucco walls, monumental drawing and colourful furniture makes entering this boutique like stepping into the home of a collector and a cabinet of curiosities.
Divided into three distinct rooms, the boutique expertly juxtaposes charming Parisian interiors with local decorative traditions, seamlessly blending classic Haussmann mouldings with authentic Indonesian arts and crafts.

Stepping from the entrance into the main area with its central pillar wrapped in natural woven fibres, a nod to traditional Indonesian homes, visitors are greeted by a duo of red lacquered mood tables. To the left, the Essences de Diptyque collection extends along a trio of oak shelves and a console, drawing our gaze to the fragrance counter beyond, above which hangs a work by the artist Mang Moel. Next, like a precious wash cabinet, a tall oak cupboard dedicated to the Art of Body Care immediately stands out with its two open doors revealing shelves and mirrors. Facing it, a lounge area, adorned with an armchair, a small wooden table and a sofa built into one side of the pillar, invites visitors to relax and unwind.
On the right wall, a console beneath a cascade of shelves showcases Les Mondes de Diptyque (The Worlds of Diptyque), a collection of candles that subtly evoke secret places in a captivating blend of nature and culture. Beyond them, a large brushed-oak bookcase creates a backdrop for the Home collection and frames the herbarium and candle collection.
In the rear, divided by wooden arches, two more cosy spaces engage in a visual dialogue of red-painted walls with mirror-lined alcoves and a typical traditional arched bamboo and wicker ceiling. With its central fireplace, rug and sofa, behind which sits a console designed in collaboration with Heaps and Wood, the first lounge, dedicated to a collection of décor objects, strikes a warm and intimate note. A second space, devoted to the Art of Gifting, brings the visitor's journey to a close.

A blend of green and nuanced red hues, this new boutique in central Jakarta delights the senses and the mind. Visitors are invited to experience it as they discover the space devoted to each collection and its rituals, from the Home collection of scented candles with floral, woody, spicy and herbaceous notes, to fragrances and the skincare collection. Lining the shelves and scattered through the Home collection is an outstanding selection of décor objects such as accessories for candles. Their sole purpose is to bring infinite beauty into people's everyday lives.
A play on colours and materials, creating countless contrasts and surprises, the Jakarta Plaza Indonesia boutique is the perfect place to indulge the imagination for a moment of unbridled discovery.
