Guinness, the world’s number one stout beer, officially strengthens its presence in Indonesia through the launch of Guinness Imported Draught. Known for its iconic smooth and creamy taste, subtle coffee and chocolate aromas, and a perfectly balanced blend of bittersweet and roasted flavors, Guinness Imported Draught brings the same iconic experience enjoyed by millions of beer enthusiasts around the world.
Crafted from barley roasted precisely at 232°C, this premium stout delivers a consistent taste and quality across all its formats, ensuring every sip embodies the hallmark Guinness experience.

A Celebration of Heritage and Togetherness
Rajesh Joshi, General Manager of Diageo Indonesia, shared his enthusiasm for the launch, saying:
“We are delighted to introduce Guinness Imported Draught to Indonesia, a country full of energy and creativity with a strong sense of community — values that align with the spirit Guinness has always embodied. Through this launch, we celebrate Guinness’s 250-year-old heritage while connecting with how Indonesians enjoy joyful moments with friends and family. From casual gatherings to special occasions, the iconic two-part pour ritual can now be experienced closer to home.”

The Iconic Two-Part Pour Ritual
A defining feature of Guinness Imported Draught is its unique two-part pour ritual, which creates its signature smooth and velvety head. By pouring Guinness into a glass tilted at a 45° angle, millions of nitrogen bubbles rise to form a creamy foam. Once the foam settles, filling about three-quarters of the glass, the remainder is poured to complete the drink — resulting in a luxurious dark ruby-red stout that sets Guinness apart from any other beer.
Global Traditions, Now in Indonesia
Beyond its legendary pour, Guinness Imported Draught invites drinkers to experience a variety of global Guinness traditions — from creating personalized “Stoutie” prints on foam to the playful “tilt the foam” challenge that adds excitement to every gathering. With these experiences, Guinness Imported Draught not only introduces a new premium beer option but also brings the world-famous Guinness culture and rituals to Indonesia.
Premium Experience Anywhere — On Tap or at Home
Guinness Imported Draught is now available both on tap in bars and restaurants and in cans for home enjoyment. Each can features the innovative nitrogen widget ball, first introduced in the 1980s, allowing drinkers to enjoy the same smooth and creamy taste as they would from the tap — a true testament to Guinness’s dedication to innovation and quality.

Empowering Partners Through Guinness Microdraught
The arrival of Guinness Imported Draught also reaffirms Guinness’s commitment to its local partners. Through the Guinness Microdraught system — an innovation that uses an air pump instead of nitrogen cylinders — bar and restaurant partners can now serve the perfect Guinness even in smaller venues or community events.
Since its debut in 2021, Guinness Microdraught has expanded to over 12,000 bars and restaurants across 150 countries, revolutionizing the way Guinness is enjoyed globally.
Driving Growth in the Premium Beer Category
Naomi Noviyanti Malau, Brand Manager of Guinness Indonesia, added:
“Globally, consumers are becoming increasingly mindful of the quality of the drinks they enjoy. Responding to this shift, we’re introducing Guinness Imported Draught in 15 cities across Indonesia to enhance consumer experiences, strengthen partnerships, and drive growth in the premium beer category. Guinness Imported Draught is already available in more than 1,000 bars, restaurants, and convenience stores — with more to come.”

A Complete Guinness Lineup for Every Occasion
With this launch, Guinness expands its range in Indonesia, joining Guinness Foreign Extra Stout — known for its bold and full-bodied flavor — and Guinness Smooth, celebrated for its balanced, caramelized notes. Together, these variants embody Guinness’s mission to create memorable moments of togetherness for beer lovers across Indonesia.

The introduction of Guinness Imported Draught marks a new chapter in Guinness’s long-standing tradition of innovation, quality, and camaraderie. Indonesians aged 21 and above are invited to join in the celebration and experience the world’s most iconic stout in a new way.
