Strengthening its sustainability commitment,
Ascott Indonesia distributes 6,500 meal boxes across 17 cities in Indonesia
Embracing Ramadan as a meaningful moment to share and strengthen social responsibility, Ascott Indonesia once again presents its annual Ascott Takes Part Ramadan program. This initiative forms part of Ascott Indonesia’s ongoing efforts to contribute meaningfully to society through a series of social activities aimed at supporting those in need. Ascott Indonesia is the lodging business unit of The Ascott Limited in Indonesia, which is wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment Limited.
Entering its fifth year, the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan program forms part of Ascott Indonesia’s ongoing commitment to implementing its sustainability framework, Ascott CARES, which reflects the company’s dedication to going Beyond Business by creating positive impact for the communities around it. This year’s initiative is particularly meaningful as it coincides with the celebration of Ascott’s 30-year journey in Indonesia under the theme “30 & Beyond.” The milestone not only marks an important chapter in the company’s growth but also reinforces Ascott’s commitment to continue growing alongside the communities it serves across the country.
In line with 30 & Beyond, Ascott Indonesia introduces the concept of “3 for 30” through the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan series of activities involving Ascott properties across multiple cities in Indonesia. Through this initiative, Ascott Indonesia is organizing three social initiatives across 30 locations in 17 cities nationwide, reflecting the company’s continued efforts to strengthen its connection with the communities surrounding its properties.
The Ascott Takes Part Ramadan activities, taking place from 4 – 11 March 2026, also include the distribution of 6,500 meal boxes prepared by Ascott properties across Indonesia and delivered to communities in need. In the Jakarta area, the management team of Ascott Indonesia together with 31 Ascott properties across Jabobek (Jakarta, Bogor and Bekasi) participated in the distribution of meal boxes at Rumah Belajar Merah Putih and Tanggul Pantai Muara Baru area. This activity was carried out in collaboration with Human Initiative, a global humanitarian organisation originating from Indonesia that focuses on empowering communities and delivering humanitarian assistance to vulnerable groups.

Across other cities, the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan (ATPR) programme also featured a variety of social activities, including visits to orphanages, community clean-up initiatives at places of worship, as well as activities aimed at bringing joy to the elderly.
Philip Barnes, Country General Manager, The Ascott Limited – Indonesia, said “As Ascott’s presence continues to grow across Indonesia, we believe that this growth should go hand in hand with meaningful contributions to the communities around us. This year is also a significant milestone as Ascott Indonesia marks its 30-year journey towards 30 & Beyond. Through Ascott Takes Part Ramadan, we aim to use the spirit of Ramadan to strengthen the culture of sharing while deepening our connection with communities across the country. Together with our network of properties, more than 6,500 meal boxes have been distributed across various locations, complemented by a range of social initiatives. This reflects our commitment to move beyond business, not only growing as a company but also continuously creating positive and sustainable impact for society.”
Through the Ascott Takes Part Ramadan series of activities, Ascott Indonesia aims to further strengthen its engagement with communities across various regions while contributing meaningfully to society. The initiative reflects Ascott’s commitment to go Beyond Business, where the company focuses not only on its growth, but also on creating meaningful contributions for the communities it serves.
