Citadines Antasari Jakarta Celebrates Earth Hour as Part of Sustainability Commitment
As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability through the Ascott CARES initiative, Citadines Antasari Jakarta successfully held its Earth Hour event across the property on Saturday evening, 28 March 2026. The event was attended by associates and in-house guests and took place for 60 minutes in the lobby area.
During the Earth Hour observance, lights in public areas were switched off for one hour in support of the global Earth Hour movement, which aims to raise awareness about energy conservation and environmental responsibility.
In line with the brand signature of Citadines Antasari Jakarta, For the Love of Coffee, this year’s Earth Hour featured sustainable decorations made from coffee beans and various recycled materials that can be reused, such as bottle caps, plywood boards, used paper, LED strips, and unused materials collected from around the hotel. For safety and sustainability purposes, the event used reusable battery-operated candles, ensuring no open flames and no excessive electricity usage.
During the event, guests gathered in the lobby and enjoyed canapés and free-flow coffee in a warm and intimate atmosphere, creating a unique experience while raising environmental awareness.
