In celebration of its 31st anniversary, ARYADUTA Lippo Village, one of Tangerang’s prominent hotels, carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by visiting Mimy Chaitamy Al Bantani, the author of Pendekar Cisadane—better known by his pen name, Mimi Ch—on September 19, 2025, at his residence in Mauk, Tangerang Regency.
Visiting the Author
At 73 years old, Mr. Mimi warmly welcomed the ARYADUTA team, accompanied by his wife. Despite undergoing regular medical treatment, he enthusiastically shared stories about the creation of Pendekar Cisadane, a work he began writing in 2001. Unfortunately, the original manuscript is now difficult to find since it has long been out of print.
“I’m still trying to locate it through my old colleagues. Hopefully, someone still keeps a copy,” he said with hope.
The visit was attended by seven representatives from ARYADUTA Lippo Village, including Sumiyati (Executive Assistant Manager), Yoan Afrilian (Director of Sales & Marketing), and Putri Baihaqi (Marketing Communication Manager). Also present was Mrs. Achie from the Tangerang Regency Tourism Office, who played a key role in facilitating this meaningful meeting.
Commitment to Preserving Cultural Heritage
During the visit, ARYADUTA Lippo Village expressed its appreciation and commitment to reviving the story of Pendekar Cisadane as part of its cultural preservation efforts. Mr. Mimi’s character is considered an important symbol, reflecting the spirit of Tangerang’s people in resisting colonial oppression while inspiring younger generations.
“I’m truly happy that the story of Pendekar Cisadane is being brought back. I wrote it back in 2001 to tell about the struggle of Tangerang’s people against the Dutch. I hope the younger generation will rediscover and learn from this hero,” said Mr. Mimi.
“This visit was a meaningful moment for us—not only as a chance to personally meet the author but also as an opportunity to revive a part of Tangerang’s cultural heritage. We believe that local legends like Pendekar Cisadane are an essential part of our community’s identity,” added Sumiyati, Executive Assistant Manager of ARYADUTA Lippo Village.
CSR as a Reflection of Care
Through this CSR initiative, ARYADUTA Lippo Village reaffirmed its commitment not only to hospitality excellence but also to social and cultural awareness. This program aims to preserve local heritage while reintroducing regional legends to the wider public.
