ARYADUTA HOTELS BRINGS CHRISTMAS STORIES FROM PAPUA INTO ITS FESTIVE COLLECTION
Christmas is the season of coming home. It is a time when familiar places, cherished traditions, and the people we love take on an even deeper meaning. For children growing up far from their families and hometowns, that feeling can be especially profound.
For a group of children from Papua, Christmas brings memories of home, family, and the people they hold close. Today, they are growing and learning at SLH Moria, Lippo Karawaci, where they are provided with a safe and nurturing environment to pursue their education, develop their potential, and dream about their future.
ARYADUTA Hotels invited them to express what the season means to them through a simple question: “What does Christmas mean to you?”
Their answers came through drawings and illustrations — each offering a glimpse into their memories, emotions, and hopes.
Abiro Busup depicts the warmth of family gathered inside a traditional Honai, while Evan Sub reflects on experiencing Christmas both in the city and in his village. Another student, Asedi Iyapa shares her longing for her mother in Papua, especially during Christmas, when being together with family means the most.
These personal stories will become part of ARYADUTA Hotels' Christmas 2026 festive collection, bringing the children's perspectives into the celebrations across the hotel's destinations.
Their illustrations will be featured on exclusive merchandise included in ARYADUTA's festive hampers, as well as limited-edition room amenities for staying guests. Through these pieces, the children's stories become part of the guest experience, allowing their perspectives to travel beyond the classroom and into the homes and celebrations of guests across ARYADUTA Hotels.
A portion of the proceeds from the collection will support their education through Yayasan Pendidikan Harapan Papua (YPH Papua) and Yayasan Lentera Membangun Bangsa, helping provide continued opportunities for them to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams.
