Responding to Tourism Growth,

Archipelago Hotels Continues to Expand and Reach Diverse Markets

Five properties in Java and Sumatra strengthen accommodation options tailored to the characteristics of each local market

Archipelago Hotels, the largest privately-owned hotel management group in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, continues to expand its presence across various destinations in line with the growth of Indonesia's tourism sector. Data shows that foreign tourist arrivals reached 6.07 million visits in January–May 2026, an increase of 7.68% compared to the same period the previous year. This growth was also driven by the Southeast Asian market, which recorded an increase of 11.06%. In line with rising tourism activity, the accommodation and food and beverage sector also recorded growth of 13.14% in early 2026.

This growth reflects the increasingly diverse accommodation needs of travelers across different destinations, whether for business travel, MICE, family holidays, recreation, or transit journeys. To meet these needs, Archipelago Hotels presents five properties in five strategic destinations: Aston Cimone Hotel & Convention Center in Tangerang, Aston Malang Hotel & Conference Center in Malang City, Nawana by Alana in Sentul City, Bogor Regency, fave+ hotel Lampung in Bandar Lampung, and fave+ hotel Pamanukan in Subang Regency. These five properties consist of two new openings and three rebrandings that strengthen Archipelago Hotels' presence across various markets in Java and Sumatra.

The five properties reflect a range of market segments and needs, from practical 3-star hotels for business travelers, families, and travelers passing through transit routes, to business hotels in city centers, premium convention hotels with large capacity, and a 4-star sanctuary resort. With a distinct character in each destination, this portfolio enables Archipelago Hotels to offer accommodation choices that are more relevant to travelers' needs while supporting the growth of business, MICE, and recreational activities in each market.

"The growth of tourism and the accommodation sector shows that the need for quality hotel options that are relevant to the character of each destination continues to rise. For Archipelago Hotels, this represents both an opportunity and a responsibility to deliver accommodation solutions that can meet the needs of an increasingly diverse market. That is why each of our properties is designed with an approach tailored to the characteristics of the destination and its target guests, whether for business and MICE travel, family holidays, recreation, or transit needs. We want to ensure that the presence of Archipelago Hotels provides the right accommodation options while supporting the growth of tourism and economic activity in every destination where we operate," said John Flood, Chief Executive Officer of Archipelago Hotels.
