SHANGRI-LA JAKARTA BRINGS BACK “POSES FOR A PURPOSE” IN SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Shangri-La Jakarta brings back Poses for a Purpose, a wellness gathering in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on Saturday, 24 October 2026, from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Continuing its spirit of mindful movement and well-being, this year's programme goes beyond yoga to incorporate health education, basic health screening, and breast cancer awareness initiatives, highlighting the importance of early detection and a proactive approach to women's health.
Recognising the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer and encouraging early detection, Shangri-La Jakarta aims to contribute to this important cause by creating a platform that brings wellness and health education together. Through this initiative, the hotel hopes to encourage meaningful conversations about women's health and inspire individuals to take a more proactive approach to their well-being.
Powered by HAPPYFIT, the morning will feature a breast cancer awareness talk by Dr. Stefanny, Sp.B, Subsp.Onk (K), basic health screening by Mayapada Hospital, a SADARI (breast self-examination) session by Lovepink, and a yoga session led by Rini Ritty. Together, these activities offer participants an opportunity to move, learn, and connect while reinforcing the importance of breast health awareness and early detection.
Guests are encouraged to wear pink or white attire in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With limited capacity and registration required, Poses for a Purpose invites the community to come together for a morning dedicated to wellness, education, and meaningful action.
