Anantara Ubud Bali Resort Celebrates Two Years with Nature in Motion

Anantara Ubud Bali Resort, a luxury rainforest retreat in the Payangan highlands north of Ubud, Bali, marked its second anniversary on 1 October 2026. Throughout October, the resort celebrates this milestone through experiences that reflect its commitment to wellbeing, community and meaningful connections, including a Blood Donation Drive as part of its anniversary-month initiatives.
The celebrations culminate on 26 October 2026 with Nature in Motion – A Celebration of Discovery, bringing together wellness, Indonesian fashion, Balinese traditions and local craftsmanship in recognition of the people, creativity and natural surroundings that have shaped the resort's journey over the past two years.

Set amid the rainforest landscapes of Payangan, the celebration will welcome media, creative personalities, travel and wedding partners, and friends of the resort for a day of experiences inspired by nature, creativity and meaningful connections.
The celebration unfolds through four chapters: Awaken (A), Belong (B), Unfold (U) and Discover (D), together forming ABUD, the resort's abbreviation. Each chapter reflects a different aspect of Anantara Ubud's connection to nature, culture, creativity and community.
Awaken: A Morning Inspired by Nature
The anniversary programme begins with a 3 km run through the surrounding village landscapes of Payangan, inviting participants to experience the area's natural beauty and embrace the spirit of movement and connection.
Breakfast at Kirana introduces guests to Trigona honey from the resort's own stingless bee sanctuary, an initiative led by the wellness and naturalist team to support local biodiversity and highlight the importance of pollinators in the surrounding ecosystem.
The morning continues with a mat Pilates session at the Yoga Hall, led by Made Warnata, Director of Spa, Wellness & Recreation. Drawing on his background in Muay Thai, Taijutsu and traditional Balinese wellness, Made brings a holistic approach to movement, encouraging guests to reconnect with body, mind and nature.
Belong: Creating Meaningful Connections
The afternoon welcomes invited media, travel partners, wedding specialists and creative collaborators with an intimate wedding showcase, highlighting the resort's romantic setting for destination weddings and personalised celebrations in Bali.

Adding a distinctive touch to the occasion, Bali-based Tuksedo Studio will display four handcrafted classic car recreations at the resort's lobby, celebrating the artistry and precision of Indonesian automotive craftsmanship.
Guests can also enjoy an afternoon tea experience featuring Dilmah, overlooking the surrounding rainforest.
Unfold: A Celebration of Indonesian Creativity
The afternoon's creative programme opens with a contemporary dance performance, followed by a welcome address from Santiago Sagaz, General Manager of Anantara Ubud Bali Resort.
A highlight of the celebration is A Forest Affair, an exclusive fashion presentation by Tities Sapoetra, an Indonesian creative talent who transitioned from acting to fashion design. The presentation forms part of Sundown, Tities Sapoetra's signature recurring programme held in Bali once every four years, celebrating creativity, culture and meaningful collaborations. This second edition of Sundown marks a special collaboration with Anantara Ubud Bali Resort, bringing together fashion, nature and Indonesian artistry in celebration of the resort's second anniversary.
Presented in collaboration with Noor 8, a family-owned jewellery house with four decades of heritage, A Forest Affair brings together contemporary fashion, distinctive jewellery and craftsmanship inspired by the beauty of nature.
The presentation will feature a line-up of Indonesian public figures, including Paula Verhoeven, Louise Anastasya, Rangga Moela, Mikaila Patritz, Ririn Dwi Ariyanti, Jonathan Frizzy, Mustanir Afif, Agla Artalidia, Kyku, Filipus Adhimas and Aurra Kharishma, adding a distinctive creative dimension to the resort's second anniversary celebration.

Guests are also invited to discover hands-on experiences inspired by the local environment, including flower arranging with locally sourced blooms that reflect the natural beauty of Payangan.
A natural body scrub-making experience, guided by the resort's naturalist team, introduces two signature ingredients, coconut and coffee, highlighting the connection between nature, traditional ingredients and holistic wellbeing.
From 4.00 pm, guests will enjoy a selection of wines in partnership with Pelita Makmur Perkasa (PMP), accompanied by a live saxophone performance, creating a relaxed atmosphere for conversation and connection.
Discover: From Sunset Ritual to Evening Celebration
As daylight softens, guests will experience Sandikala, the resort's signature Balinese dusk ritual, marking the transition from day to evening and offering a moment of reflection rooted in local tradition.
From 6.00 pm onwards, the celebration continues at the Lobby Garden with live jazz, dining and wines, bringing together guests, partners and friends of the resort for an evening of music and meaningful connections.
Two Years of Discovery in Payangan
Since opening on 1 October 2024, Anantara Ubud Bali Resort has welcomed travellers seeking a deeper connection with Bali through personalised hospitality, cultural encounters and nature-inspired experiences.
Home to 85 suites and pool villas, the resort offers distinctive dining venues, Anantara Spa, immersive wellness programmes and local discoveries that invite guests to explore the cultural and natural richness of Ubud and its surroundings.

Looking ahead, Anantara Ubud Bali Resort is preparing to introduce 15 exclusive one- and two-bedroom pool residences overlooking the river valley, with access to the resort's facilities and personalised services. This upcoming addition marks a new chapter in the resort's journey, bringing Anantara's distinctive approach to luxury living to the Payangan highlands of Bali.
The resort's commitment to responsible hospitality extends to biodiversity conservation, including its stingless bee sanctuary and ongoing efforts to protect the endangered Bali starling, supported through its collaboration with Kehati Pertiwi Lestari Foundation. The resort also supports firefly conservation through its partnership with Bring Back The Light, founded by Wayan Wardika. Together with its Green Growth 2050 Gold Certification, these initiatives reflect Anantara Ubud's dedication to preserving Bali's natural heritage.
Beyond environmental conservation, the resort recognises the importance of supporting the wider community. Its anniversary-month Blood Donation Drive reflects this commitment, bringing people together through a simple yet meaningful act of giving.
More than a celebration of two years, Nature in Motion recognises the people, traditions, creative collaborations and partnerships that continue to shape Anantara Ubud Bali Resort.
As the resort enters its third year, it looks forward to creating more unforgettable journeys inspired by the spirit of Bali.
