The Westin Jakarta Appoints Roy Assadi as The New Director Of Food and Beverage

The Westin Jakarta proudly announces  Roy Assadi as the new Director of Food and Beverage. He will be overseeing the daily operations of food and beverage services of the hotel, from the F&B outlets of Seasonal Tastes, Henshin and Daily Treats to the In-room dining and catering services. 

Prior to joining The Westin Jakarta, Roy started his career at The Westin Auckland  as an Operational Management Trainee, where he was exposed to the Food and  Beverage and Front Office departments back in 2006 to 2009. Then, Roy was appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Rendezvous Grand  Hotel  Auckland, New Zealand’s largest hotel, where he led the team to achieve the highest F&B revenue within TFE Hotels in 2014-2015. In 2015, he joined  InterContinental Hotels Group at InterContinental Hotel Wellington and  InterContinental Kuala Lumpur as Director of Food and Beverage for a total of three years. Right before joining The Westin Jakarta, he was assigned as a  Director of Operations at Hilton Auckland for two years and was given the opportunity to develop his career through the Hilton SHINE Scholar program at  Hilton Auckland. In that property, he managed 187 guestrooms, five function rooms and two food and beverage outlets.  

As an expert in the Food and Beverage industry, Roy gained his knowledge and skills from various education in Hospitality. He majored in International  Hospitality-Marketing Management and Professional Wine Studies at Auckland  University of Technology, then advanced his education in an Executive MBA at London School of Economics and Political Science.

Outside working hours, Roy spends his time exercising, doing outdoor activities and exploring good food and wine.
